The long-awaited STRASSER AVA-Tahr is finally here, now with rugged synthetic stocks built to work as hard as you do. Molded from solid polyurethane and 100% made in Austria, this is a true working rifle, no hollow cavities, no shortcuts—just solid, dependable material that still comes in lighter than comparable walnut-stocked models.
The stock’s special surface coating delivers a secure, grippy feel in all weather, while its tough finish shrugs off scratches and hard use in the field. It’s a tool you don’t have to baby.
To dial in the perfect fit, the AVA-Tahr offers seven different recoil pads so you can match the stock length to your exact preference. Each rifle ships with a 28 mm pad (the standard length), and with the full pad set you can fine-tune from -15 mm to +15 mm to get your ideal length of pull.

An integrated M-Lok rail in the forend lets you mount bipods, lights, or other accessories without extra adapters, keeping the rifle slim, modern, and mission-ready.
The AVA-Tahr ships with seven different recoil pads in 5 mm increments, so you can fine‑tune length of pull for a custom fit instead of settling for “close enough.”
Thanks to its new, forward-thinking stock design, the AVA-Tahr delivers very controlled, predictable recoil, helping you stay on target for faster follow-up shots. To top it off, each rifle comes with a fitted gun case, so it’s protected from the moment it leaves the shop.
